1. In the morning we get Founders from successful startups to come and showcase how they went from 0-1; and
2. in the afternoon we get startups that are trying to go from 0-1 to propose “challenges” to the participants. As a participant, you get to learn from the best in Norway and help up and coming stars along the way.
Here’s the drill: Each Saturday Hackaday, we start with a no-BS talk from a featured startup that’s shaking things up. They’ll spill the tea on the real challenges they’re facing—whether it’s figuring out how to grow their user base, perfecting that one stubborn feature, or breaking into new markets. Then, it’s your turn to grill them during an open Q&A. Ask anything—no sugarcoating here, just straight answers from people who’ve been in the trenches. And in the afternoon, it’ll be your turn to do something useful. Take on a challenge from one of the guest startups around and aimlessly punch away at your keyboard until we kick you out.
Saturday Hackaday kicked off because we got tired of wandering around like lost puppies trying to find our tribe. Sure, Oslo’s startup scene is buzzing, but good luck finding people who actually get what it’s like to build something from scratch. So, we decided to create a space where founders, makers, and dreamers could hang out, swap war stories, and help each other actually get stuff done.

… said a dumb person somewhere. We’re not too fond of room temperature IQ, but if you’ve made it this far you definitely put in more effort than most. The place is: Startuplab, Gaustadalléen 21, 0349 Oslo (i.e., the birthplace of ReMarkable and Kahoot). To make the most out of those last two neurons, we’ll also throw in some food and drinks. Just talk to people, build away, and stay tuned for the next one.
