With pleasure, I introduce myself, my name is Vitor Bruno. I graduated in Environmental Engineering from the Centro Universitário da Fundação Santo André.

Since my initial academic formation, I have had the privilege of interning at prominent organizations such as CETESB (Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo) and SABESP (Basic Sanitation Company of the State of São Paulo). During this period, I acquired valuable experience in the environmental field, including the transformation of the Unit Operations discipline into an effective tool for grading through spreadsheets, as well as a software for designing and planning Water Treatment Plants (ETAs).

Furthermore, my journey included collaboration with INPE (National Institute for Space Research), where I conducted pioneering research on the detection of fecal coliforms through satellite imagery, a unique approach enabling the observation of human activities from space (link).

My passion for entrepreneurship and innovation flourished during my time in Florianópolis, where, recognizing opportunities, I developed a methodology for teaching English based on pairs, processes, projects, and purposes. This innovative approach proved effective, leading me to teach more than 100 individuals and take on roles as a pedagogical coordinator in an English course with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).

My journey involved numerous courses and experiences that expanded my academic and professional horizons, including roles as a mentor in events such as Startup Weekends (4) and Hackathons (5). Additionally, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of innovation through a course at the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), where I learned to validate startups with a Silicon Valley mindset.

My leadership in the Startup Grind startup community and the organization of large-scale events, including a hackathon for NASA, were significant milestones in my journey.

My quest for knowledge did not stop there. Following a stay in Silicon Valley, during which I had the privilege of meeting global leaders and participating in events at renowned companies, I returned to Brazil with a renewed passion for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.

This passion led me to pursue specialization in instructional design, recognizing the need for innovative pedagogical approaches in entrepreneurship. Through Google scholarships, I explored areas such as User Experience Design and Project Management. Furthermore, I deepened my knowledge of innovation management at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP).

My journey culminated in pursuing a master’s degree in technological innovation at UNIFESP, where I began developing a framework for academic and scientific entrepreneurship, with the aim of transforming academic work into business opportunities. This research was recognized with a scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and contributed to the enhancement of the Program for Innovative Research in Small Companies/Entrepreneur (SBIR/I-Corps).

In this academic space, I aim to share my knowledge, experiences, and insights with all of you. I invite you to subscribe to our newsletter and actively participate in the community by sharing your opinions and knowledge. Together, we can embark on a journey of discovery, learning, and innovation.
